SRTC Appoints New Board Member Stacey Hancock

Thomasville, GA (08/18/2025) — Southern Regional Technical College (SRTC) President Jim Glass is pleased to announce the addition of Stacey Hancock of Thomasville to the SRTC Board of Directors. Hancock was sworn in during the August 13 Board of Directors meeting at SRTC-Thomasville and will serve SRTC for a term of 3 years.

Hancock currently serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at Archbold Health System in Thomasville, where she leads people strategies for a regional healthcare system comprising four hospitals, four nursing homes and a multi-specialty medical group with over 2,900 team members. With more than 29 years of human resources experience in healthcare, Hancock previously served as Vice President of Human Resources at Wellstar Health System and Chief Human Resources Officer at Southern Regional Health System. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, organizational design, change management, and leadership coaching while successfully partnering with executive leaders to drive business outcomes. Hancock holds a Master of Business Administration from Liberty University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Shorter College. She is a Society of Human Resources Management Senior Certified Professional and maintains active memberships in several professional organizations, including the American Society of Healthcare Human Resources Administration and the American College of Healthcare Executives.

The Board's purpose is to advise the college on program direction, to serve as a check and balance for the development and implementation of college goals; objectives; policies; and procedures, and to advocate for SRTC within the community. The State Board of the Technical College System of Georgia approves each local board member.

Southern Regional Technical College offers over 150 degree, diploma, and certificate programs that are designed to get students quickly into their desired careers, and 38 general education courses that transfer to the University System of Georgia institutions and 19 private colleges and universities in Georgia. SRTC has instructional sites located in eleven counties across Southwest Georgia for the convenience of its students.
