SRTC Appoints New Board Members Andrea Collins and Jenny Dell

Thomasville, GA (02/13/2025) — Southern Regional Technical College (SRTC) President Jim Glass is pleased to announce the addition of Andrea Collins and Jenny Dell of Thomasville to the SRTC Board of Directors. Collins and Dell were sworn in during the February 12 Board of Directors meeting at SRTC-Thomasville and will serve SRTC for a term of 3 years.

Collins has served as the Executive Director of the Thomasville-Thomas County Chamber of Commerce for the past 8 years. As Executive Director, Collins manages financial growth, human resources development, and strategic planning for the community through valuable relationships with local organizations to foster a healthy economy. Prior to her current role, Collins served as an Account Executive with Comcast Spotlight and as the owner of Southern Vines & Garden Market. Collins holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Master of Public Administration from Valdosta State University.

Dell is the Founder and Principal of J. Dell Advancement Group, which she founded in 2020. With a 20+ year background in marketing, communications, graphic design, fundraising, and management, Dell brings a unique and powerful set of experiences. Before starting J. Dell Advancement Group, Dell served as the Director of Institutional Advancement at SRTC, the Development Director and Marketing Director at Thomasville Center for the Arts, and the Executive Director of Alumni and Constituent Engagement at Brenau University. Dell holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Public Relations and English from the University of Georgia and a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership from Brenau University.

The Board's purpose is to advise the college on program direction, to serve as a check and balance for the development and implementation of college goals; objectives; policies; and procedures, and to advocate for SRTC within the community. The State Board of the Technical College System of Georgia approves each local board member.

Southern Regional Technical College offers over 150 degree, diploma, and certificate programs that are designed to get students quickly into their desired careers, and 28 general education courses that transfer to the University System of Georgia institutions and 19 private colleges and universities in Georgia. SRTC has instructional sites located in eleven counties across Southwest Georgia for the convenience of its students. The College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). SACSCOC is the regional body for the accreditation of degree-granting higher education institutions in the Southern states.
