In a remarkable achievement, five Colquitt County High School seniors - Jeremy Blalock, Rylee Bryant, Sara Dunn, Ja'Nyri Horace, and Trysten Johnson - have successfully completed Southern Regional Technical College's (SRTC) Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) program while still in high school. These students represent the second cohort of dual-enrolled students to complete the program. This accomplishment marks a significant milestone in the innovative partnership between Colquitt Regional Medical Center, Colquitt County School District, and Southern Regional Technical College. The five students were honored during a pinning ceremony held on Monday, May 4, 2026, at SRTC-Moultrie. The ceremony, a traditional rite of passage into the nursing profession, commemorated their successful completion of nursing coursework and clinical rotations. Each student received a pin and a small lamp, symbolizing their commitment to serve the sick and infirmed, while the lamp portion paid tribute to Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern-day nursing.

The ceremony commemorates the students' successful completion of their nursing coursework and clinical rotations. These graduates are also eligible to participate in the commencement ceremony at SRTC-Bainbridge on July 29, 2026.

On the morning of April 30, 2026, eleven students were recognized at a Veterinary Technology pinning ceremony held at Southern Regional Technical College's (SRTC) Thomasville Campus. These students completed multiple semesters of rigorous occupational coursework and a series of clinical rotations at local animal hospitals in addition to their prerequisite coursework.

Each of the graduating students completed multiple semesters of rigorous prerequisite and occupational coursework, including a series of clinical rotations at local medical offices. The students are eligible to sit for the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) exam. This designation represents a medical assistant who has been credentialed through the Certifying Board of the AAMA.

On Tuesday, December 2, Southern Regional Technical College (SRTC) honored graduating SRTC Radiologic Technology students during a ceremony at SRTC's Moultrie campus. Eighteen seniors were recognized at the awards ceremony and received pins to mark the completion of their program requirements. The Radiologic Technology Associate of Applied Science Degree Program is a sequence of courses that prepares students for positions in radiology departments and related businesses and industries. The program emphasizes a combination of didactic and clinical instruction necessary for successful employment. Program graduates receive an Associate of Applied Science degree, have the qualifications of a Radiographer, and are eligible to sit for a national certification examination for Radiographers. Following the completion of core requirements, this program can be completed in four semesters. In the coming weeks, seniors will sit for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) exam, and pending passage will be ready for careers as radiographers. These seniors will be eligible to take part in the college's December 11 commencement ceremony in Bainbridge.

On November 13, 2025, thirteen Southern Regional Technical College (SRTC) Respiratory Care graduates were honored during a pinning ceremony in Thomasville. Joined by students' families and friends, the Respiratory Care program faculty at SRTC hosted the annual pinning ceremony in honor of the senior students. Graduates of the program receive a surgical technology associate of applied science degree. The students are now eligible to sit for the Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) examination through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).

Southern Regional Technical College (SRTC) recently recognized thirteen graduating Nurse Aide students at SRTC-Bainbridge, honoring the completion of their program. SRTC's Nurse Aide program consistently delivers outstanding results, as evidenced by excellent certification exam pass rates and strong employment outcomes. Throughout the program, the students completed the classroom training, laboratory practice, and clinical rotations required to earn their Nurse Aide certification.

Tift County High School students enrolled in Southern Regional Technical College's (SRTC) Dual Enrollment program celebrated their completion of the Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification with a special pinning ceremony on Tuesday, May 6, 2025. This marks the first group of CNA students completing the program since SRTC reintroduced it as a dual enrollment offering at Tift County High School last year.

The graduating Medical Assisting students include Shayla Edwards of Meigs, Ja'Miracle Hall of Thomasville, Sheila Walker of Tifton, and Amecia Young of Thomasville. Each of the graduating students completed multiple semesters of rigorous prerequisite and occupational coursework, including a series of clinical rotations at local medical offices. The students completed the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) exam and we are proud to announce that they achieved a 100% pass rate. This designation represents a medical assistant who has been credentialed through the Certifying Board of the AAMA.
