In a remarkable achievement, five Colquitt County High School seniors - Jeremy Blalock, Rylee Bryant, Sara Dunn, Ja'Nyri Horace, and Trysten Johnson - have successfully completed Southern Regional Technical College's (SRTC) Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) program while still in high school. These students represent the second cohort of dual-enrolled students to complete the program. This accomplishment marks a significant milestone in the innovative partnership between Colquitt Regional Medical Center, Colquitt County School District, and Southern Regional Technical College. The five students were honored during a pinning ceremony held on Monday, May 4, 2026, at SRTC-Moultrie. The ceremony, a traditional rite of passage into the nursing profession, commemorated their successful completion of nursing coursework and clinical rotations. Each student received a pin and a small lamp, symbolizing their commitment to serve the sick and infirmed, while the lamp portion paid tribute to Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern-day nursing.

On Wednesday, April 22, 2026, the Thomasville chapter of the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) at Southern Regional Technical College (SRTC) inducted twenty-three new members into the organization. The formal ceremony was held at SRTC's Thomasville campus.

On the morning of April 30, 2026, eleven students were recognized at a Veterinary Technology pinning ceremony held at Southern Regional Technical College's (SRTC) Thomasville Campus. These students completed multiple semesters of rigorous occupational coursework and a series of clinical rotations at local animal hospitals in addition to their prerequisite coursework.

On Monday, May 4, 2026, Southern Regional Technical College (SRTC) held a pinning ceremony at SRTC-Moultrie during which 54 Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) students from the SRTC-Tifton and SRTC-Thomasville cohorts received their nursing pins. Each of the graduating students completed multiple semesters of rigorous prerequisite and occupational coursework, including a series of clinical rotations at local medical offices. The students are eligible to sit for the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) exam. This designation represents a medical assistant who has been credentialed through the Certifying Board of the AAMA.

On Tuesday, December 2, Southern Regional Technical College (SRTC) honored graduating SRTC Radiologic Technology students during a ceremony at SRTC's Moultrie campus. Eighteen seniors were recognized at the awards ceremony and received pins to mark the completion of their program requirements. The Radiologic Technology Associate of Applied Science Degree Program is a sequence of courses that prepares students for positions in radiology departments and related businesses and industries. The program emphasizes a combination of didactic and clinical instruction necessary for successful employment. Program graduates receive an Associate of Applied Science degree, have the qualifications of a Radiographer, and are eligible to sit for a national certification examination for Radiographers. Following the completion of core requirements, this program can be completed in four semesters. In the coming weeks, seniors will sit for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) exam, and pending passage will be ready for careers as radiographers. These seniors will be eligible to take part in the college's December 11 commencement ceremony in Bainbridge.

On November 13, 2025, thirteen Southern Regional Technical College (SRTC) Respiratory Care graduates were honored during a pinning ceremony in Thomasville. Joined by students' families and friends, the Respiratory Care program faculty at SRTC hosted the annual pinning ceremony in honor of the senior students. These students completed two semesters of prerequisite coursework as well as four semesters of rigorous occupational coursework, including a series of clinical rotations at local hospitals. In addition to the pinning ceremony, these students are eligible to participate in the college's December 11 graduation ceremony at SRTC's Bainbridge Campus.

On the evening of November 5, 2025, the Moultrie chapter of the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) at Southern Regional Technical College (SRTC) inducted 12 new members into the organization. The formal ceremony was held at SRTC's Thomasville campus. The 2025 Fall NTHS inductees were Torrey R. Edwards, Janyra Garcia, Maria G. Gachuz-Zamorano, Karen A. Hernandez-Barradas, Jackeline Jesus-Trujillo, Mirmi Lopez, Brooklyn G. Massey, Crista McMurphy, Wesley S. Mims, Jr., Aimee M. Radford, Efrain Sifuentes, and Jaelyn E. Wier.

On the evening of October 27, 2025, the Bainbridge and Thomasville chapters of the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) at Southern Regional Technical College (SRTC) inducted 9 new members into the organization. The formal ceremony was held at SRTC's Thomasville campus. The 2025 Fall NTHS inductees were Alexis Anderson, Debbie Conner, Veronica Cornelius, Angela Grubbs, Brecken Johns, Emily Lamb, Twanmisha Peeks, Jasmine Thompson, and Franchescia Williams.

Two recent Colquitt County High School graduates have achieved a remarkable milestone by successfully passing the National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nurses (NCLEX-PN) on their first attempt. Kendall Meeks and Leah Yearby, both members of the inaugural dual enrollment Practical Nursing program class, are now officially Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) in the state of Georgia. The achievement represents the continued success of the innovative partnership between Colquitt Regional Medical Center, Colquitt County School District, and Southern Regional Technical College (SRTC). Both students completed their high school education while simultaneously earning their Licensed Practical Nursing diploma from SRTC in May 2025.

For the 2025 fall semester, which began August 19, the Southern Regional Technical College (SRTC) Foundation awarded scholarships to 90 students totaling $103,261. The SRTC scholarship funds assist students with education-related costs such as tuition, fees, books, classroom and lab supplies, and travel-related expenses.
