The NCLEX-PN exam is a standardized exam that each PN graduate must pass to obtain a license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).

The VTNE is a comprehensive 3-hour, 170-question exam administered by the American Association of Veterinary State Boards that covers nine essential domains of veterinary technician responsibility.

On the afternoon of Monday, July 6, 2026, the Bainbridge chapter of the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) at Southern Regional Technical College (SRTC) inducted nine new members into the organization. The formal ceremony was held at SRTC's Bainbridge campus.

Four Southern Regional Technical College (SRTC) students represented the college on a national stage last month, competing at the SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference in Atlanta on June 1-5. The four SRTC SkillsUSA members earned their spots at the national level after placing first at the SkillsUSA State Leadership and Skills Conference in February. The SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference, held in Atlanta each June, brings together over 19,000 attendees for a week-long celebration of the skilled trades and is held in conjunction with the SkillsUSA Championships, where over 6,500 state champions compete for national titles in over 100 skilled and leadership competitions.

Students from Southern Regional Technical College (SRTC) showcased their exceptional skills at the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Collegiate National Leadership Conference in Las Vegas on June 6-8. Three SRTC FBLA-Collegiate students competed at the National level after placing first at the Georgia Spring Leadership Conference in March. The FBLA National Leadership Conference was held in Las Vegas, Nevada, on June 6-8, where thousands of students from colleges and universities across the country competed in over forty business-related events.

For the 2026 summer semester, which began May 19, the Southern Regional Technical College (SRTC) Foundation awarded scholarships to 50 students totaling $69,250. The SRTC scholarship funds assist students with education-related costs such as tuition, fees, books, classroom and lab supplies, and travel-related expenses.

In a remarkable achievement, five Colquitt County High School seniors - Jeremy Blalock, Rylee Bryant, Sara Dunn, Ja'Nyri Horace, and Trysten Johnson - have successfully completed Southern Regional Technical College's (SRTC) Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) program while still in high school.
