Southern Regional Technical College and Thomas University Sign Articulation Agreements Creating New Transfer Pathways for Students

Thomasville, GA (08/05/2026) — Southern Regional Technical College (SRTC) and Thomas University (TU) signed a series of articulation agreements on August 5, 2026, creating clear academic pathways for SRTC students to continue their education and earn bachelor's and master's degrees at Thomas University. The agreements span criminal justice, education, business, nursing, and social work, giving students across multiple career fields an affordable, close-to-home route to a four-year degree and beyond.

The agreements allow students who complete select Associate of Science and Associate of Applied Science degrees at SRTC to transfer directly into corresponding bachelor's and master's programs at Thomas University, with credits recognized toward their next degree. Pathways include:

Criminal Justice

  • Associate of Science in Criminal Justice to Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice
  • Associate of Science in Criminal Justice to Bachelor of Science in Justice Administration
  • Associate of Applied Science in Criminal Justice to Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice
  • Associate of Applied Science in Criminal Justice Technology to Bachelor of Science in Justice Administration
  • Associate of Applied Science in Crime Scene Technology to Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice

Nursing

  • Associate of Science in Nursing to Bachelor of Science in Nursing (RN-BSN)
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (LPN to RN) to Bachelor of Science in Nursing (RN-BSN)
  • Associate of Science in Nursing to Master of Science in Nursing (RN-MSN)
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (LPN to RN) to Master of Science in Nursing (RN-MSN)

Education

  • Associate of Science in Education to Bachelor of Science in Special Education, Elementary Education
  • Associate of Science in Education to Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education

This partnership significantly expands educational opportunities for students across southwest Georgia, making it more affordable and accessible to begin a college career at SRTC and continue on to a four-year, and in nursing's case, a graduate-level, degree at Thomas University.
